Neighborly Welcome

I have new neighbors moving in across the hall from me this weekend, and I decided to give a warm welcome by making some baked goods for them. Although I was sad to see my old neighbors go, I look forward to getting to know the new ones, as they are around the same age as my roommate and I.

And what better way to welcome them than with my signature “Oatmeal Chocolate-Chip Cookies with Dried Cherries”? Yes, it’s a mouthful to say that entire title, but your mouth will rejoice once you put one of these inside. And as an extra bonus, the oatmeal part makes you feel not so bad for eating one (or five- oops). I hope they like them!

  1. let the dough 'rest' in the fridge for 12-24 hours before cooking and they will be even better as the flavors blend together better! :)

Oh how I miss baking cookies!

  2. Thanks for the tip Megan! It will help to cut up the time spent in the kitchen too. I wish you were here to be my pastry chef!
