Spicy Soups & Steaks Results

Refreshing and summery is how I would describe last Sunday’s dinner. Most of the diners were new participants (every dinner I have had so far has had at least one new person!) so it was great having a new dynamic around the table.

{Chilled Avocado Soup Shots with Spicy Breadcrumbs}

Even I was skeptical about the flavors of the avocado soup, but it turned out to be a perfect sipper appetizer, almost like a Lassi. I added some fun garnishes with bacon and cherry tomatoes.

{Grilled Harrissa Marinated Steak with Farro, Raddichio, & Roasted Beet Salad topped with Feta}

The feta cheese in the salad played off the Middle Eastern vibes from the spicy steak. This salad will also be great for summer picnics.

{Peach and Raspberry Cobbler}

I got a little Martha Stewart with the lattice pattern over the cobbler and I added some texture with turbinado sugar on top. The warm sweet peaches and tangy raspberries with the vanilla ice cream = summer.
