It was one of those rare, sunny 80 degree weekends in San Francisco , and although I took advantage of it by swimming in my pool & grabbing food along the bay; I secretly wanted crisp fall weather to match with my cozy soup dinner!
The kale salad was a great balance between healthy (kale) and not so healthy (crispy smoked bacon), that all worked together in the Red Wine Vinaigrette. (Sorry forgot to take a pic of that)
Garnishing the soup with Black Nyon Olives is tradition for the rustic French countryside dish—and it adds a nice saltiness to each bite.
{Saffron gives the broth a more golden color}
The White Chocolate Hazelnut Fondue with Amaretto was creamy, sweet and decadent… I couldn’t help just lathering it all over the chocolate pound cake
