This week I attended a cooking feast where each attendee had to bring a dish with pear in it. Although not a huge fan of the fruit myself, I don’t mind them as much when paired (no pun intended) with tangy or creamy flavors.
{Bosc Pears}
So, I made these pear and cranberry turnovers – tart and a little sweet with a dust of powdered sugar on top. If you can find whole wheat phyllo dough that will up the healthy points on this treat.

This would be a great dessert or brunch dish if you are looking to serve something light and refreshing. Plus, the folding of the phyllo dough is easy (fold it like a flag), but by looking at it people will think you have mad pastry skills- which is quite the opposite for me.
