I was in Ann Arbor a few weekends ago visiting my grad student, and loved being in a laid back college town. Ann Arbor is not your typical Michigan suburb and showcases many ethnic restaurants (Pacific Rim is in top place for me right now) and a great farmers market.

A famous deli/creamy/bakery/everything you want kind of place called Zingerman’s draws me in every time and the market style there is what I would envision for a marketplace of my own someday….

We hosted a BBQ for friends and it felt good to give them all a home cooked meal. Here are some of the apps and sides I put together to supplement his grilled meats:
