Camping Packing

I went camping this past weekend to beautiful Big Sur, and of course I leapt on the chance to do all the food organizing for the group. For Friday night I thought it would be great to have a bean salad on the side with the beer boiled brats with peppers & onions, gourmet hamburgers and corn on the cob. The salad is ideally made ahead of time so the beans soak up the marinade flavors.

Make ahead dishes are key to camping. I even made the homemade burgers ahead of time and froze them so they would be ok in the cooler until grill time.
