Skewing

I don’t think summer food can get any better than meat on a stick. Kebabs/skewers are easy to assemble, transport, serve and clean-up- a potluck’s dream come true. Plus there are so many different combinations (meats, fruits, veggies) that they never get old.

In addition to the cookies I brought to the potluck mentioned here, I brought Chicken, Peach & Sweet Potato Skewers with a Honey Glaze:

{I made glazed pecans on the side to go along with the kebabs}

Just ensure that when you put a variety of meats, vegetables, and fruits on a skewer that they all have about the same cooking time, or are cut into smaller pieces so that they cook evenly. This will help you avoid a last minute disassembly of the skewers to cook some components more than others.
